Higginbotham Announces Leadership Transition and Growth Strategy for Emerging Colorado Market
James Hoffman and Jill Webb Named Colorado Springs Office Leaders, Bringing Employee Benefits Expertise and Culture-Forward Leadership to Colorado Region
(Fort Worth, Texas) – Higginbotham, a broad-based, employee-owned insurance, financial and HR services firm headquartered in Texas, has announced new office leaders for its Colorado Springs and Denver locations — a move that signals the firm’s deepening investment in the regional market and commitment to growth through single-source services and a shared cultural foundation.
James Hoffman and Jill Webb will join forces as co-leaders for both offices in the state. Hoffman, formerly office leader in Bryan–College Station, Texas, has relocated to help introduce the firm’s robust employee benefits services to the Colorado market. Webb is a Colorado Springs native who joined Higginbotham in 2024. Recognized within the firm as a “five-star recruit” — Higginbotham's term for a high-value, experienced and strategic hire — she will lead the property and casualty (P&C) side while helping drive cultural integration and team development.
The leadership transition follows the retirement of Randy Geving, co-founder of Six & Geving Insurance, the respected Colorado Springs agency that partnered with Higginbotham in 2021, beginning the firm’s involvement in the state.
This moment marks a new phase of strategic growth for Higginbotham in Colorado. With its signature dual-growth strategy — combining strategic partnerships with organic expansion — the firm is focused on bringing the full breadth of Higginbotham’s capabilities to the market, while honoring the local relationships and community focus that Six & Geving cultivated over three decades.
“This expansion is not just about geography — it’s about values,” said Rusty Reid, Higginbotham Chairman and CEO. “With Jill and James, we’re putting the right leaders in place to grow this market the Higginbotham way: with care for culture, commitment to community and a true single-source model for clients.”
Hoffman brings a proven track record of incorporating employee benefits into successful operations built from the ground up. In 2019, he helped launch Higginbotham’s Bryan–College Station office organically — a rare move for a firm of Higginbotham’s size, which would typically enter new markets through acquisition. Under his leadership, the office expanded rapidly, earned respect in the community and established a strong, sustainable presence.
“In College Station we built the office the way Rusty built Higginbotham, with employee benefits and P&C working together from day one, showing up to the same meetings, and earning trust through shared relationships,” said Hoffman. “Now in Colorado, I have the opportunity to partner with Jill to introduce the benefits side of the business — working together to foster community trust and grow something with real staying power.”
Webb, a seasoned insurance professional with deep local roots, brings a passion for people-first management to her new role. After 15 years in sales and leadership positions, she joined Higginbotham last year, drawn to the firm’s commitment to culture and employee-ownership model.
“I came to Higginbotham because of the people and the purpose,” Webb said. “It’s rare to find a company that has the capabilities of a national brokerage and the relationships of a local firm. Here, I get to share the best of both worlds with my clients and my team.”
Under Webb’s leadership, the firm is also strengthening collaboration between its Colorado Springs and Denver offices and building a unified team to support statewide growth.
“We’ve got a seasoned, respected staff with decades of experience,” said Webb. “Now we’re adding boots on the ground, telling our story, and creating an environment where the next generation of producers can see their future in insurance here in Colorado and beyond.”
With this transition, Higginbotham is positioning itself to meet the needs of the full Colorado market — providing property and casualty and employee benefits across the region, as well as other Higginbotham specialties such as public sector expertise, claims advocacy and Day Two Services® for risk management.
“I've always been very entrepreneurial, and I'm excited for the opportunity to get back into growth mode,” said Hoffman. “Higginbotham is the first brokerage I worked for, and as far as I'm concerned, it'll be the last. I can’t wait to get our name out there, show people our capabilities and bring that Higginbotham level of service to our partners here in Colorado.”
