Steve brings more than 30 years of public and private sector experience in the areas of executive leadership, public affairs, and strategic communications. Prior to the Chamber, he not only worked on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. and in the state capitol in Austin, but he also helped build and lead a successful healthcare information technology firm. Steve received his BA in Government from the University of Texas at Austin and his MBA from the University of Texas at Arlington — and has spent much of his career as a policy advocate in the healthcare, energy, transportation, and economic development sectors.
